Spoiler alert: it doesn’t look like sainthood. Sometimes it looks like burning out your crockpot making extra soup for a neighbor. Sometimes it looks like starting a project because you literally had no place to store donations. That’s how it began for me - homeless, overwhelmed, but unwilling to let resources go to waste. Every do-gooder has a story at home, and we aim to tell the good, the bad, and the beautiful.
Confessions of a Do-Gooder isn’t about perfect people. It’s about the ordinary ones who somehow keep showing up anyway. The ones who laugh, cry, mess up, try again, and in doing so, create something bigger than themselves.
At the heart of it: we share these stories to remind each other that you don’t have to have it all together to do good. If people see that kindness is messy, human, and possible in the middle of real life, maybe they’ll feel more willing to jump in too.
So come along with us—pull up a chair, bring your mess and your humor, and meet the everyday people who keep stitching our communities together. Confessions of a Do-Gooder is a space to witness their stories and, in the process, reflect on our own. Join us as we celebrate the behind-the-scenes of everyday kindness and discover what it really takes to balance community work, life, and all the ordinary chaos in between.
Confessions of a Do-Gooder is all about pulling back the curtain on everyday kindness. We believe that the people who make a difference in our communities aren’t superheroes—they’re regular people with complicated, messy, and beautiful lives.
To comfort those who feel alone, and inspire anyone who thinks they’re “not enough” to realize they can make an impact too. When we hear about small acts of care, mutual aid, and generosity, we’re reminded that good is contagious - and that each of us has a part to play.
you’re helping us tell the true, behind-the-scenes stories of kindness that often go unseen.
